Very popular combination, also with the D70. With the right sort of setup - panoramic head + good wide angle lens - it is possible to achieve this with between 7-8 shots! Not my original shots - yet :-)

If you add the .cfs extension to the NAV exclusion list, you should see the performance problems disappear.
